Jacksonville Port Authority is committed to providing a learning platform that is accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We design and operate JAXPORT LMS in alignment with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and applicable Section 508 requirements.
Conformance
JAXPORT LMS targets WCAG 2.1 AA conformance. We continuously test the platform against this standard and address issues as they are identified. Some third-party content (for example, externally produced video or imported SCORM packages) may not fully meet this standard; in those cases we provide equivalent alternatives where possible.
Features That Support Accessibility
Full keyboard navigation across all interactive elements
Skip-to-main-content link for screen reader users
Semantic markup with appropriate ARIA roles and landmarks
High-contrast color palette meeting AA contrast ratios
A dark theme option to reduce eye strain
Captions and transcripts on instructional video content where provided
Form fields with persistent labels and clear error messaging
Resizable text up to 200% without loss of functionality
Requesting Accommodations
If you have a disability and need assistance accessing training content, completing an assignment, or using any feature of the platform, contact us. Where the platform itself is the barrier, we will work with you to provide an equivalent alternative format (printed materials, in-person delivery, audio-described video, etc.) as appropriate.
Reporting an Accessibility Issue
We welcome feedback. If you encounter content or a feature that is not accessible, please email info@jaxport.com with the page URL, a description of the issue, and your contact information. We will acknowledge your report within five business days and work to remediate confirmed issues promptly.
